CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER

To God be the glory for great things He hath done. I am persuaded that this discussion shall be a life changing encounter to both the married and the unmarried in Jesus name. The issue of ‘who to marry’ is very important to God, if you involve him and also to us because our joy in life is tied to it.
So God created man in His own image, … , male and female created He them- Gen 1:27
Remember, we are talking from Christian perspective, God is not interested in your life and marital when you are not for him.
O LORD, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him?- Ps 144:3
For your life and everything in your life to matter to God, you must first give your life to him. The first step to committing your marital into the hand of God is to commit your life to him. Then after you have become God’s own, God advised that you should not marry anyone who is not His own. As a child of God, in choosing a marital partner, you cannot choose anybody, you are not allowed to marry an unbeliever, and neither should you date in an unbelieving way. In this edition we shall be discussing on the following topics:

An all important and once taken decision
Life is always full of challenges and decision taken. Decisions have to be made at several times in our lives on various issues. Very few may decide that marriage is not good for best reason[s] known to them. I stand to testify that marriage is good and honorable. It is very scarce today, in Christianity to see singles talking about God’s will in their marriages, even if and when they do, they just say it for people to think they are spiritual, but on the contrary, they are very canal in believing that they can depend on God for their marital success. They try to use the trial by error method, dethroning God. And also, as a Christian, it is a decision to be taken once for a lifetime. After you’ve taken that important decision of whom to marry, you cannot run out of it, no matter what happens. Let me give you the steps to making a good marital decision, they include:
Step one: First, know and believe that marriage is good. God said it is not good for man to be alone-Gen 2:18. Even God who is a spirit said marriage is good, how could mortal men who he has made it for, believe that marriage is not good. The bible says, ‘whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD’ [Pro 18:22]. If you are afraid of a bad or wrong marriage, you might eventually attract one, because, Job said, what I feared most, happened to me. Marriage is good.
Step two: Second, Pray and watch. Pray on your marital life always, you cannot pray enough or too much concerning your marital. It worths you spending all the virtues or strength of yours so that you can get a peaceful and fulfilled home. Watch and pray, that you enter not into … [Mat 26:41]. Many people have entered and are still entering into different marital problems, troubles and unfulfilled marital life because they refused and are refusing to pray about it. Prayer is like a cloud that goes up to heaven and gathering rain to fall on us as blessings. Until prayers go up, the cloud of our answers and blessing will not gather to fall on our lives. Prayer will also make us to get God’s direction, instruction, protection, and shield towards the right person at the right place and at the right time. Please, keep praying on you marital, and don’t give up, even when you are married, don’t lose faith, keep praying and I pray your rain will fall in Jesus name-Amen. And he [Jesus] spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint- Luke 18:1. After you have prayed, watch! So many have prayed but have entered into various marital problems because they did not watch. The devil plays trick, the last and the only way he can get and frustrate a child of God is in the marital life and this is the exact place where he lays ambush for any child of God, you have to be watchful. Know when you are being deceived, be careful! Once you enter, you cannot come out of it again.
