When you talk about politics you must not forget about human being practicing it. But Christianity is the mother of politic and if it was practiced with sincerity of purpose it would have been good but human being is not predicted so christianity may be different from politics

let me start by saying religion cannot be divorce from politics,as it where politics in the present clime requires some form of rethink most especially as it applies to africa in general and nigeria in particular.nigeria suppossedly is a secular state that is the right to practice any religion of your choice is embedded in the constitution.that gives us a basis to lay claim to been christian publicly and be an ifa worshiper secretly recently our public office holders where seen or shown somewhere in ogun state engage in oath taking, my digression from the main discussion is not unconnected with the current trend in vogue.
Politics as aristotle views it is an affair which involves every social animal which means man by nature is a "political animal" while christianity is being christlike which happens to be a way of life, the bible also believes in leadership which requires social interaction and interpersonal relationship, even in the church politics is played aswell as the family which happens to be the smallest unit of life.the heart of politics is decision taking in the way resource are allocated.according to harold d lasswell politics is he who gets what, when, and how and the pejorative angle of politics is been played out.the holy books allow for politics.

According to Aristotle, man is a political animal and Christ enjoins us to give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar. In order to create a just and progressive society, genuine christians should join politics. Whatever principles politics and religion have, they are aimed at serving the society positively.
Finally, if politics is the authoritative allocation of values, how do you promote, protect and project your interests in this highly competitive world of ours if you remain aloof?
